by On Diamond

This week's feature hails from Melbourne’s very own genre-breaking super group On Diamond with their highly anticipated self-titled debut album.

The dynamic 5-piece is led by Lisa Salvo, featuring members of Jaala, Grand Salvo, Jazz Party and Hannah Cameron, with Evelyn Ida Morris (Pikelet) assisting in production. Combining such a rich & diverse musical background, it’s no wonder they’ve mastered such a well-blended sound.

On Diamond combines hypnotic rhythms & cascading melodies with the poetry of grief & disconnection to craft a cathartic journey of growth & recovery from trauma.

Urging listeners from the very first track to lean into their subconscious and let their psyche unravel, ‘The Ocean Floor’ is great introduction to the themes explore through this album.

‘How’ expresses the physical & abstract characteristics of the confusion spawned from broken kinship.

‘Poison Blood’ encourages forward movement in spite of past trauma.

On Diamonds is a stunning debut that will ease its way into your heart & take hold.
This album is a GEM!!
