Late last year, as Melbourne’s lockdown was starting to wind down, Australia's hardest hitting Hammond Organ trio Cookin On 3 Burners got together after a long break for a very special jam on MUUZOstream, Channel 31’s weekly program of live music performances. Thanks to government grant funding, MUUZOstream was able to host such local legends as Cookin On 3 Burners for what turned out to be a riveting live set of heavy Hammond action, fiery guitar solos, blistering breaks, and the soulful stylings of feature vocalist Stella Angelico.
The session originally aired on Channel 31 on February 23. For our next Studio 5 Live presentation, PBS is excited to share this session with our listeners on Soul Time on Wednesday March 16.
This special broadcast will air ahead of Cookin On 3 Burners’ show at The Corner Hotel on March 18, where they’ll be joined on stage by Stella Angelico and Raleigh Williams, and special guests Thando and Miss Goldie on support duties.
