As climate change accelerates, its impacts are being felt across the globe — but not equally. Women and gender-diverse people, particularly across Asia and the Pacific, face disproportionate risks to their health, safety and livelihoods as climate-driven disasters deepen existing gender inequalities. It is estimated that women are up to 14 times more likely to die in climate change-related disasters than men.
To help raise funds and awareness of this issue, grab your mates and get tickets to Bowls for Benefit, a community fundraiser supporting those most affected by climate change. All funds raised will support UN Women's Empower Program, helping women and gender-diverse communities build sustainable livelihoods, strengthen climate resilience, and shape the solutions and policies that affect their lives.
Tickets available here.
Your ticket includes lawn bowls, raffle prizes, a line dancing workshop, DJs and more.
