Bonobo (aka. Simon Green) presents a special remix album of his critically acclaimed fourth album, ‘Black Sands’. Featuring mixes from Mike Slot, Machine Drum and Mark Pritchard, ‘Black Sands Remixed’ follows his Australian tour in March!

Simon Green was born and grew up in rural Hampshire, escaping to Brighton aged eighteen. There he fell into the jazz/hip hop/funk/soul scene centred around Rob Luis and nights like ‘phonic:hoop’. Releasing his debut album, ‘Animal Magic’ in 2000, Green was hailed as one of the new downtempo pioneers, and was quickly signed to Ninja Tune (Coldcut, Amon Tobin, Poirier). Going on to release albums ‘Dial M For Monkey’ (2003) and ‘Days To Come’ (2006), Green’s sound grew into something lusher and more live sounding.

“Black Sands” came out in 2010 to almost universal critical acclaim and worldwide commercial success. Bonobo moved from being an underground producer of impeccable credentials to a poster boy for a new take on electronic music – contemporary and edgy but also soulful, song-based, sometimes lush but always emotional.
