The accolades keep coming in at PBS, with Shaggin' the Night Away host Big Ian Sutherland being acknowledged with an Industry Appreciation award.

Ian received the honour from the Carolina Beach Music Awards, known as the Cammys, in the US last week. Ian is the first person from outside the United States to be recognised by the Cammys – testament to his dedication to exposing the little-known genre of Carolina beach music to Australian audiences.

Congratulations Ian!

Ian's award comes after after last weekend's CBAA Awards in Adelaide, which saw PBS announcers claim two trophies: Vince Peach's Soul Time for Excellence in Music Programming and former Breakfast Spread co-host Maddy Mac's win in the inaugural National Features and Documentary Awards.

You can catch Shaggin' the Night Away on air alternate Wednesdays from 2 to 6am, or at anytime via our radio-on-demand service by following the above link.
