Mumbai-based band The Yellow Diary touch down in Australia bringing their fresh sonic identity to the Corner Hotel on Sunday May 17th. Charged with a blend of Hindi poetry and modern alt-rock & pop, their compositions are at times highly reflective and deeply personal, as compared to the pages of a diary.  Tune in as Pradip catches up with the band ahead of their Australian tour and to chat more about the release of their debut album, "In Case We Forget".

Across May, Seedy Jeezus will take over Nighthawks each Saturday night for a run of European tour warm-up shows - each week diving into a different side of the band. Naarm/Melbourne musician and label head Nat Pavlovic has released her new album 'Big Heart' on her own label, Blossom Rot Records. Nat shares, “Big Heart is really the heart of the album. It’s about not wanting to feel one way, then say another; a big heart doesn’t mean anything if I’ve got a fake tongue.” Ahead of her album release show at Bell City Takeaway on May 8, Nat Pavlovic joins David Pisker on Underground Love for a special, stripped-back live performance.

LA-based, alt-R&B and soul artist Rochelle Jordan is bringing her genre-defying sound to 170 Russell on May 28, showing audiences what it means to be a pop artist today. Her third album 'Through The Wall' is a rich, emotionally charged blend of polished house, alt-R&B and pop, underscored by a clear sense of personal resilience and artistic growth. Founder and lead singer-songwriter Garry Gray catches up with Phil about their sixth studio album "In The Manifesto" and where you can catch them live next. On May 8, Chicago post-punk trio FACS will play their debut Naarm/Melbourne show at Northcote Social Club. Their sixth studio album 'Wish Defense (Trouble In Mind)’, is the final album recorded by the late Steve Albini, and sees Brian Case and Noah Leger explore themes of identity, duality and introspection through stark rhythms and haunting melodies, energised by the return of original member Jonathan Van Herik. Ahead of their Australian tour, Michael Mulholland catches up with Brian Case.

Since releasing his debut album Notes to Self in 2011, Welsh-born pianist and producer Gareth Wiecko has been busy writing music for podcasts, ballet, contemporary dance, and a number of video games. Blending a classical piano foundation with a love for electronic music, Gareth creates a distinctive, hybrid sound that you will hear in his latest work, the original soundtrack for Gunboat God. Ahead of the game's console release, Gareth chat to Matt on Game Jams.
