Trumpeter Phil Slater calls through on Soak this week to chat to Owen about his upcoming duo concert with Matt McMahon at the Melbourne Recital Centre, April 29. Slater and McMahon have performed and recorded with legendary figures including Archie Roach, Peter Sculthorpe and Lou Reed. The artists’ intuitive bond, cultivated over decades of shared performance history, brings clarity to their work as a duo. The gig is part of the Melbourne Jazz Coop's 40th birthday.

SAFF is a not-for-profit event organised by a group of passionate volunteers to showcase South African talent, culture and diversity and support educational opportunities for disadvantaged children and made it's debut as Sydney South African Film Festival in 2019.
