The project of French-American artist Milou Moon is launching her dreamy psych sophomore EP 'Rêverie' at Punters Club on October 11. Having just released the EP in her hometown of Chicago last month, Milou refines her distinctive brand of ethereal psych rock with expansive synthscapes, singular vocal melodies, and winding musical journeys. Canadian group Sloan is that rare band whose ethos runs alongside its discography. From early gigs in a college basement to the present day, Sloan have released 13 albums - beginning with their early signature tune, 'Underwhelmed' - and are now set to drop their 14th record, 'Based on the Best Seller'. ‘The Blue Hour’ is the fifth album from local singer-songwriter Amaya Laucirica, launching at Northcote Social Club on October 25. A compelling meditation on the nuances of motherhood, identity, acceptance, and connection, the album explores themes of optimism and reflection.
