Growing up on the north coast of NSW, Matilda Sutherland was engulfed by folk, rock, and 80s ballads, under the influence of her parents. Upon moving to Naarm in 2014, Matilda began her music career as a DJ in the local electronic underground, then in 2021, she began writing music, which led to the release of her highly praised 'Holy Water' EP, followed by the country ballad 'Heart Stroke'.
