Possible Utopias for Jazz Quintet is the latest work from Laurence Pike, out on May 29 via Spanish label Balmat. Not to be fooled by the name, the album features no jazz quintet - just Pike, his drums and his machines. Cerro's debut solo release "The Infinite Hum" is a 5-track EP blending dubby house and cozy Balearica. Influenced by the four months he spent in Colombia and returning to the neighborhood he grew up in, Cerro put the EP together in a modest travelling studio with a small collection of analogue hardware. Releasing via local imprint Proto Exotica in late June, tune in to hear him chat with Jonny about what went into the creation of his work.
