With Melbourne beginning to buzz again the Newport Jazz Festival returns for it's second year. Committee member & Venues Coordinator Michael Currie joins Andrew for a chat about this years line up.

Spacey Space is a true DJ legend here in Melbourne. To celebrate 30 years of DJing Spacey is holding a day/night party, Sunday April 24 at Abbots Yard in Richmond. Joining Spacey will be the inimitable HONEYSMACK, the wonderful DJ JNETT and close collaborator T-REK will be performing and the party will be produced by local party starters Thick As Thieves. This Friday on The Breakfast Spread Spacey jumps on the decks in Studio 1 for a special Wheels of Steel mix with guest host Anita Michalski.

Beginning in the late 90's, Velatine was a way for Loki Lockwood to delve deep into the the world of electronica with the idea of eventually collaborating. In 2021, he messaged singer Maggie Alley to gauge her interest in perhaps recording a song, resulting in Comic / No God 7'' out via Spooky Records. Loki stops by PBS to talk about the evolution of Velatine and spin some tunes.

Legendary pub rockers Painters & Dockers reunite for a national tour to celebrate the reissues of their 'Kill Kill Kill' E.P and live album 'Bucket.' Michael is joined by vocalist Paulie Stewart to talk about the reissues.
