One of New Zealand's leading vocal ensembles, the Signature Choir joins the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra for a night of powerful storytelling on January 31. With more than 90 voices in harmony, performing gospel, classical, modern and traditional Pasifika music in a sound that is fresh, moving and unmistakably Pacific. Choir Co-Director Jadrah Tupai drops in to The Gospel Show to chat with Peter about this very special collaboration.

Releasing music under the stage name A K U, Akshay Kumar Vig is a designer and record producer, who in both practices is a cultural collagist and collector. The LA-based producer creates pieces that unveil cultural connections by blending ideas and creative languages from ethnic communities and subcultures. Beyond the Sea has developed a lovely blend of folk and bluegrass tunes, featuring sweet delicate melodies and weaving harmonies. Joining Claire Dickson for an intimate, live in-studio performance this February 2 is local atmospheric pop trio Hydroplane. Having released their new album, 'A Place In My Memory Is All I Have To Claim' late last year - their first music after more than two decades of radio silence - Andrew Withycombe, Kerrie Bolton, and Bart Cummings return to the gentle, close-quarters musical world they shared around the turn of the century. Velatine is a Melbourne-based goth/darkwave musical project led by producer/engineer Loki Lockwood. The project features moody, synth-laden atmospheres and brooding post-punk/industrial textures.
