There are some records that, when you put them on, are instantly soothing. Melbourne producer Super Magic Hats’ self titled EP is one of those. Beautiful lo fi beats tumbled together in what feels like an effortlessly intricate way. Each track on this EP is wonderfully engaging, full of skittering samples and hypnotic melodies. One of my favorite releases of 2013 so far.
