Sydney’s enthralling post-punk four-piece Mere Women recently released their urgent and unnerving new album, Romantic Notions. It's a brilliant album that captures the overwhelming intensity of obsessive love and control while sharing often-uncomfortable truths relating to women’s lived experiences. PBS chose Romantic Notions as a PBS feature album upon its release.
As Mere Women continue to explore new ways of expressing and writing popular music through a post-punk lens, Junkyard announcer Michael Mulholland takes the opportunity to dedicate his show to celebrating the bands journey so far.
