This week's PBS Feature Album is Education & Recreation, the brand new LP from Surprise Chef.

Surprise Chef’s music is based on evoking mood; their vivid arrangements utilise time and space to build soundscapes that invite the listener into their world. The quintet’s distinct sound pulls from '70s film scores, the funkier side of jazz, and the samples that form the foundation of hip hop.

The Meanies
Wed 28 Sep 2022

The Meanies have always been outlandishly funny - this never stood in the way of their musical talent as Australia's punk-rock stalwarts. You can hear this in their early sessions on PBS, like their 2007 Studio 5 Live session, which represents the band’s original energy, playful on-stage banter, sharp wit and even sharper riffs.
