Presented by DJ Manchild
next on air Fri 24 May 13, 3:00pm to 5:00pm

The Breakdown is about everything funk. It starts with James Brown and takes us on a journey from there - from dusty 70's soul 45's to heavy Nigerian afro-funk; from fiery Colombian salsa to the bounce of old-school hip-hop; from the deep disco 12"s of underground NYC to the colour and fun of Bollywood funk...
It can all be found right here on PBS every Friday 3-5PM with DJ Manchild.
