1. PP Arnold | Medicated Goo | The Turning Tide
- This is a great version of the classic Traffic tune. This album features sessions originally recorded from 1968-1970 but only released last year and features sessions produced by Barry Gibb and Eric Clapton. PP is touring Aus in May and playing Memo Music Hall on May 17th, The Thornbury Theatre on May 18th and The Night Cat on May 25th.
2. Fugi | Mary Don't Take Me On No Bad Trip | Mary Don't Take Me On No Bad Trip
- Originally released as a single on Chess in 1968 and all of his singles were compiled on to this compilation in 1997. This track can also be found on the excellent 2016 Festival compilation, Running The Voodoo Down.
3. The Seven Ups | The High Road | Commandments
- Taken from their forthcoming 3rd album, out on April 20th.Album launch is on May 5th @ Howler with The Putbacks + Fulton Street.

4. Ben Harper With Charlie Musselwhite | Bad Habits | No Mercy In This Land
- Their second collaboration album, following 2013's Get Up was released last week.
5. Hat Fitz And Cara Robinson | Doing It Again | After The Rain
- Taken from the duo's 4th album together, released in 2016. They are touring Victoria soon, playing at the Skylark Room in Upwey on May 3rd, Northcote Social Club on May 5th w/Rich Davies & The Low Road and the Way Out Roots Music Club in Newport on May 6th.
6. Heartbrokers | Eye In The Keyhole | Vol. 10
- Their album launch was supposed to be last Friday but was cancelled. A new album launch will be announced soon.
7. Jimi Hendrix | $20 Fine | Both Sides Of The Sky
- Taken from the most recent posthumous Hendrix album featuring all unreleased recordings including this one with Stephen Stills on vocals!

8. Motorpsycho | Lacuna/Sunrise | Here Be Monsters
- An epic track taken from this prolific Norwegian band's 2016 album.
9. Yo La Tengo | She May, She Might | There's A Riot Going On
- This is from the band's 15th studio album, released in March.
10. Wild Meadows | Feel The Noise | Wild Meadows
- This Melbourne band's excellent debut album was released recently. The album launch is on Sat night at Yah Yah's with Ferla + Capital Gains. They will also be doing a Wed night residency at The Tote in May.

11. Harmony | Fatal Flaw | Forthcoming Album
- This is Harmony's first new material since their 2nd album was released in 2014. Single launch is at Howler on April 13th with Cable Ties, Bitumen + The Blinds.
12. The Breeders | Archangel's Thunderbird | All Nerve
- An excellent tune from the classic lineup of the band's first album in 25 years, released recently!
13. Gang Of Four | Natural's Not In It | Entertainment!
- A classic slice of post-punk from their debut album, released in 1979.
14. Mod Con | Scorpio Moon | Modern Convenience
- Taken from their debut album which is the PBS feature album this week! The album launch is at The Tote on April 20th with Parsnip, The Stroppies + Sweet Whirl Band.

15. The Genes | It Ain't Worth It | Dead Street Light
- This is from the latest album from this Northern NSW based band.
16. Augie March | Tomis | Bootikins
- Taken from the band's 6th studio album, released in Feb.
17. Nadia Reid | Right On Time | Preservation
- This wonderful NZ singer is playing at NSC tomorrow night with Leah Senior + Tim Moore. She's also playing at the By The Meadows festival in Bambra this weekend.
18. Steve Connolly | Bracelets On Your Arm | And The Usual Suspects
- Apart from being the brother of sports journalist Rohan Connolly and having the Community Cup's Best on Ground medal named after him, Steve was a fine guitarist with Paul Kelly for many years before passing away young in 1995. These recordings were made in 1994 and initially released posthumously in 1996. Several copies have recently been found and are made available to buy again.
19. The Zimmermen | Don't Go To Sydney | Rivers Of Corn
- The Steve Connolly song was co-written by John Dowler so I thought I'd play this classic of his from his 1980's group.

20. Nick Batterham | Nothing Lasts | Golden Boy
- Nick's 5th solo album was released yesterday. He will be launching it at the Wesley Anne on May 5th.
21. Grant-Lee Phillips | King Of Catastrophes | Widdershins
- Grant is touring Australia in May and is playing at Memo Music Hall on May 11th, the Yarraville Club on May 12th and Thornbury Theatre on May 13th.
22. Lucy Wise | Solid Ground | Winter Sun
- Taken from Lucy's new album which she is launching at the Toff In Town on May 3rd with John Flanagan as a double album launch.
23. Marlon Williams | Party Boy | Make Way For Love
- Marlon is playing at the Forum on May 12th with a second show now added on June 22nd.
