Hailing from Istanbul, Turkey, multilingual folk group Kardeş Türküler (Songs of Fraternity) performs traditional songs of Anatolia, Thrace and Mesopotamia in their original tongue in celebrating of its 25th year of music-making.

Founded on the ideal of peace in a multicultural landscape, the ensemble celebrates what people from all walks of life have in common inspiring listeners round the world.

Kardeş Türküler are being brought to Australia by Anatolian Arts, and members of this community group will talk about the band, introduce us to their diverse music and play examples from some of their many albums.
