1. Kamasi Washington | Fists Of Fury | Heaven & Earth
- This is one of the first tracks released from Kamasi's forthcoming 2nd full-length album, out on June 22nd.
2. Don Cherry | Brown Rice | Brown Rice
- A terrific spiritual jazz tune from this trumpeter's 1975 album. This can also be found on the great compilation Running The Voodoo Down.
3. The Seven Ups | Stampede | Commandments
- The Seven Ups will be launching this album at Howler on Saturday night with support from The Putbacks + Fulton Street.

4. Neville Brothers | Fire On The Bayou | Fiyo On The Bayou
- Charles Neville from The Neville Brothers sadly passed away on April 26th, aged 79. This tune is from their 2nd album, released in 1981.
5. Allen Toussaint | Goin' Down | Life, Love And Faith
- Keeping the New Orleans vibe going with this classic from 1972.
6. Hat Fitz & Cara Robinson | Power | Wiley Ways
- This great blues duo are currently touring Victoria, playing at The Skylark Room in Upwey tonight, the NSC on Saturday night and the Way Out Roots Music Club in Newport on Sunday afternoon.
7. Dr. Feelgood | Roxette | Down By The Jetty
- This is the band's debut single, released in 1974. They are currently touring Australia and are playing at the Memo Music Hall on Saturday night and the Thornbury Theatre on Sunday night.

8. Courtney Barnett | City Looks Pretty | Tell Me How You Really Feel
- Courtney's latest single from her forthcoming 2nd album, out on May 18th.
9. Sloan | All Of The Voices | 12
- Taken from this great Canadian band's latest album, released in April.
10. Jack Lee | Women | Jack Lee's Greatest Hits Vol. 1
- Originally released on this debut album in 1981 from the former member of The Nerves but can also be found on his anthology, Bigger Than Life.
11. Laura Imbruglia | Harsh Dylan Songs | What A Treat
- Laura will be supporting Liam Linley at the Grace Darling tomorrow night. This is a great tune from her 2013 album.
12. Liam Linley | Used To You | In The Course Of Love
- Liam will be launching his debut EP tomorrow night with his band The Louvres at the Grace Darling with Laura Imbruglia and Tracksuit.

13. Mazzy Star | Fade Into You | So Tonight That I Might See
- Mazzy Star are touring Australia for the first time but are only playing exclusively in Sydney for the Vivid Live Festival. They will be playing 3 gigs from June 11th-13th at the Sydney Opera House. They've got lots of great songs but it's hard to go past this classic.
14. Suzanne Vega | Blood Makes Noise | 99.9 F
- Suzanne Vega is touring Australia on her Anniversary tour which is celebrating the 30th anniversary of her 2nd album Solitude Standing and this, her 4th album. She'll be playing at the Palais Theatre on August 3rd.
15. Wild Meadows | Fever | Wild Meadows
- Wild Meadows are playing every Wednesday night in May in the front bar of The Tote with different guests each week.
16. Ashley Naylor | Run Away To The Sun | High Horse
- Taken from Ashley's 2nd solo album, released in 2011. He is playing at the Wesley Anne next Thursday night.
17. Nick Batterham | Golden Boy | Golden Boy
- Nick will be launching his 5th solo album at the Wesley Anne on Saturday night with support from Kelly Day.

19. Lisa Miller | The Boy Who Radiates That Charm | Car Tape
- Lisa Miller & Shane O'Mara are playing in the front bar of the Retreat every Monday night in May. I also thought I'd play this great Arthur Alexander cover due to Milo from The Breakfast Spread mentioning it as one of his Breakfast treats in the latest Easey Street Magazine which came out this week. Also note that the PBS Radio Festival starts on May 14th!
20. Dennis Wilson | Dreamer | Pacific Ocean Blue
- Taken from Dennis' truly wonderful and only solo album, released in 1977.
21. Mick Thomas | The Last Of The Tourists | The Last Of The Tourists
- Taken from Mick's 2012 solo album as well as last year's compilation, These Are The Songs. Mick and his band, The Roving Commission are playing at the Gasometer Hotel on Sunday afternoon. Mick will also be on Acid Country with Ayleen O'Hanlon + Dana Gehrman coming up next!
