Identical Records and Callan Skimin present solo exhibition by Lara Dickinson titled Whiskey Dinner, Good Talk at The Old Bar on Tuesday 17 April.

Whiskey Dinner, Good Talk is a selection of new works in which Lara uses introversion and neuroatypicality create a framework for monochromatic drawings and paintings. They explore the visual language of the self, the body, and the relationship between human form and personhood. They are at times humourous and at others unsettling as they refigure the commonplace and distance the intimate.

The opening night will feature performances from Racerage, Simo Soo, Dark Water and Cystic Nightmare.

The upstairs gallery will be open from 5pm and some of Melbourne's finest queer musicians continue the celebration from 8.00pm downstairs.

Headlining the night with their powerful rhymes and catchy beats is superstar rapper Racerage.

Simo Soo creates fast beats with punk ethos.

Dark Water is the solo project of Jack Siren from Crystal Myth.

Cystic Nightmare is a queercore post punk band featuring Lara Dickinson Cee Devlin Mai Mai Lei Lei .

This event is a safe space for POC and LGBTQIA+ individuals. There is zero tolerance for any form of harassment, discrimination or abuse.
