Tune in to Sunglasses After Dark with Phil MacDougall from 8pm on Thursday April 27 to hear a special broadcast of a set from punk rock icon Iggy Pop, recorded live at the Seaview Ballroom on July 3, 1983.

Recorded on The Breaking Point tour which visited Australia after the release of the Zombie Birdhouse LP in 1982, this set captures Iggy at his most unhinged, backed by a band at their absolute peak, featuring Blondie bassist Frank Infante.

Taken from the PBS reel-to-reel tape archive, this recording has not been aired since. Expect to hear classics from the Stooges and Iggy’s early solo career at one of Melbourne’s most notorious live music venues.

From The Vault featuring Iggy Pop on Sunglasses After DarkThursday April 27, only on PBS.
