As an artist caught between two continents - her Canadian homeland and her now permanent Australian residency - Tracy McNeil’s brand new album Nobody Ever Leaves is a fresh new sound that infuses North American roots with the heart and grit of Melbourne’s thriving alt.country scene. Add to this the pop-soaked splendor of 1970’s West-Coast California, and you’ll be coasting the musical landscape that McNeil calls home on her latest release.

As always, McNeil navigates the listener through an undulating musical landscape that captures the imagination, defies time and place and speaks directly to the heart.

Nobody Ever Leaves was launched to a packed house on 28 June 2014 at the Northcote Social Club, with support from Small Town Romance and Dan Parsons. Tracy McNeil & her band The GoodLife are currently touring nationally throughout July and August.

“If you’re a fan of good music, ‘Nobody Ever Leaves’ is for you. If you’re not, then you’re on your own.”
Patrick Emergy – The Brag

“There's a mountain of great music being made in Australia at the moment, and 'Nobody Ever Leaves' sits right at the top of it. My favourite album this year so far.” - Shane Nicholson (June 2014)

“McNeil has hit her stride mightily with this release, surrounded by fabulous musicians who magnify her strength as a performer and songwriter. It is as rollicking as it is tender, energetic and wise. I defy you to escape addiction of this album.” - Jenny O’Keefe – Homebrew / PBS 106.7FM (21/05/14)

“One of the best of 2014 thus far and a great example of an album being all killer - no filler and extremely strong songwriting.” - Crispi – The Breakfast Spread / PBS 106.7FM
