Doctor's Advice

My love of music began when I first heard the Blues at about the age of 11. It was Howlin’ Wolf and I had no idea of where I was then heading, just that I was on my way. All these years later I’m proud to present “Doctor’s Advice” here on PBS.

Playing country-folk / folk-blues singer-songwriters and story-telling bands, it’s the music that I enjoy. From Janis Joplin, Chris Smither and Jim Croce to The Black Crowes and on to The Band.

Every song tells a story, lyrically and/or musically. I am the narrator and this show is a story. The songs are the characters. So come along on “Doctor’s Advice”, it’s good medicine!
