Bop Gun

Soulful grooves, electronic and hip hop

Bop Gun is about music you can feel.  On my show I play music that ranges from the downtempo kinds of electronic (especially trip hop and turntablism) to modern soulful and funky tunes with a few classics thrown in for good measure. You’ll hear bands like Massive Attack and DJ Shadow as well as Sly and the Family Stone on Bop Gun. I also have an ear for some reggae influenced music so I play dub on my show; groups from Australia and New Zealand (like Fat Freddy’s Drop and the Red Eyes) make up most of this. Hip hop gets a look in on the show too and I’ll be bringing you the best lyricists and DJ’s from Australia and overseas. Some of my favourite hip hop acts are Muph and Plutonic, Jurassic Five and Chasm.
