The Devil & Abbe May - Hoodoo You Do

A small pale white girl who sings like a ten tonne black man is not something to miss. An album of
songs that sound like she has been possessed by several blues greats is certainly not something to
miss. Hoodoo You Do is the first album from Rockin' Pneumonia front woman Abbe May and her sideproject
The devil & Abbe May.

A departure from the Rockin' Pneumonia's howlin' blues explosion, Hoodoo You Do is a shambolic
voodoo blues album, recorded over five days with four musicians, three chords, too many bottles of
spliff wine and one Willie Dixon song. ‘Hoodoo You Do’ is both hauntingly beautiful and disarmingly
humourous.

THE DEVIL IS…
Alex Archer (The Kill Devil Hills) – Viola.
Todd Pickett (The Rockin’ Pneumonia) – Percussion, whistle, vocals.
Jesse Woodward (The Lazy Railway) – Banjo, double bass.
Pete Stone (The Rockin’ Pneumonia) – Electric bass.
K.T Rumble (The Rockin’ Pneumonia) – Guitars.
David Craft (The Lazy Railway) - Vocals
Abbe May – Vocals, guitars, ukulele, whistle, songs.
