That's what Jazz On Saturday is all about. Join David Shields every Saturday morning from 9-11 for a remarkable variety of swinging mainstream jazz performances.
Savour the diversity - swing era classics from the 1930s/40s, to blazing bebop, to some of the coolest jazz anywhere on the radio. We also focus on the "new breed" who are quite consciously revisiting the musical gold mines of the past and retrieving new riches.
You'll enjoy outstanding recordings from all over the world - Latin America, Europe and Australia - alongside great music from the USA. There are plenty of new releases too, so you can keep up with what's hot.
Plus, we’ll have live and taped interviews with Australian and international jazz greats. Playlists are updated often as early as the next day or two after the show. You can find playlists here going back to the beginning of 2004.
