Every Friday afternoon from 3 - 5pm The Breakdown takes you on journey through funk, soul and groove, with a little hip-hop thrown in for good measure . From James Brown's first guttural cries and the crack of 'Pretty' Purdies snare to the throbbing urgency of the Breakestra and the soulful tones of Sharon Jones, The Breakdown will get you dancing around the kitchen, lounge, car, office or wherever you are listening from. Hosted by noted local funk collectors DJ's Manchild and Mu-gen and with regular featues and interviews spotlighting artists, labels and record collectors/DJ's, no stone is left unturned in bringing you the heaviest, rarest and funkiest tunes.
